Three Wise Men

We went out for a Father's Day Meal this evening to The Cottage in Blackwell. £6 for 3 courses, and completely gorgeous food. Potato wedges and garlic dip, sausage and yorkshire pudding with onion gravy and sticky toffee pudding - lush!

I would definitely defintely go there again. Infact I'd like to go there now please?

Back at work today, then had a lazy night in - ASDA pizza, BSG, then watched a strange film called Choke? Odd but good!

Quick Service

Had a day off of work today, which was very much appreciated after last nights late night. Tried to take it easy a little - watched some television, did a bit of cleaning, and then took a drive into Mansfield for a bit of light shopping. Tried to be discreet taking this but I just found it too amusing!

War of the Worlds

Stuart's Christmas present finally came round tonight - seeing Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds! This was just before it started, and the big screen was showing random audience members faces.

It was a very interesting night, and Stuart really enjoyed it! I found it a little... naff in parts. But fun never the less :)

Tiger Lilly, Tiger Lilly

Stuart shouted me outside tonight to point out that my lillies had flowered! I didn't even think they were alive a few months ago - we left them outside all winter and they just looked like two twigs in a pot. Still have some different colour ones to flower I think :)

Took some photos for work, and forgot to take any more for the rest of the day! So here is one of the rooms at Station Park - very exciting! I kind of wanted to rearrange the books like the rainbow bookcase.

Also told everyone I was leaving today. Big. Scary. News!

Crash Team Racing

After a bad start to the day, it got a lot better in the afternoon! Played a lot of computer games, hung out with my brother, then watched the Battlestar Galactica mini series/prequel thing. Just quite a relaxing day really :)

Saturday Night @ The Movies

Went shopping with my mum this morning - got a new pair of Vans and that's about it! Very good for me, although it wasn't through lack of trying. Also picked up invitations for my birthday - was going to make them, but realised I'm not really all that crafty. And I don't have time. And about ten million pounds.

Then drove to Nottingham to see Ms. Steel. Hung out in Joe's cave for a bit, then went shopping again and bought a bag. Felt much better for spending some more money. Another Pizza Hut tea, followed by drinks in The Pit and Pendulum.

Ended up going to the cinema to see Last House on the Left. I don't think I have ever been so cold in my entire life! Jumpy, gory, and a bit of a horrid rape scene but quite a good film. Wouldn't see it again anyway.

The picture's Nottingham Centre on a Saturday night. I wish I could have captured the noise - it was so loud! The square was empty but all around it was absolutely packed.

MySpace or Yours?

Spent the evening doing some web stuff for my uncle, then curled up on the sofa with 10 Years Younger, BNTM, and The Hills. Really nice actually! The cat ended up falling asleep on my head, and I pigged out on white chocolate buttons.

I have no idea where these pictures came from - I feel like I'm a 13 year old on LiveJournal again.

Missed a day. I am a loser. It's not like I didn't do anything - just forgot to take any pictures!

Went to the gym from work, then Pizza Hut with Kate, then back to her house and ended up coming away with lots of house goodies that she was getting rid of! My house will soon look like a mirror image of Kate's.

Things I Love Thursday!

♥ John Howe - I've loved him since re-watching the Lord of the Rings extras, but I've recently been looking through his online portfolio for birthday inspiration. I am so completely in love with his work, and really want to go to Edinburgh to meet him!

♥ Bagels with bacon, cream cheese and cucumber - I become obsessed with certain foods every now and again, and I've had this for tea 3 times this week!

♥ Pizza Hut tea tonight - I've been dreaming about this all week!

♥ Britain's Next Top Model - I know I'm a little late to the phenomenon but I'm in love with this cycle. I'm also still undecided on who I want to win?

♥ The Chicken Coop! - A work in progress.

♥ Fleetwood School of Motoring - My Uncle's just become self employed as a driving instructor, although he's been instructing for years. I passed first time with him and he's very good! I made his website so have a look :)

Working tonight until 8, then shattered so probably home, food, and bed. Oh what an exciting life I lead sometimes!

This is the ring Stuart bought me a month or so ago, for no reason really, other than to be lovely! I'd forgotten to take a picture of it until now.

'Armless

Okay so the picture might indicate that giving blood didn't go as well as planned! Apparently my vein collapsed as soon as she got the needle in, and then she kept turning it and pulling on it and eurgh...! I'm such a wuss but I felt quite sick and had to stop.

Obviously as soon as you say that you don't feel well it feels like about a million people surround you and you just want to die of embarassment! Oh well, maybe next time?

Some Say...

Today was the Turkish Grand Prix, so this morning me and Stu went to Tesco to buy Turkey related products. This involved kebabs, potato wedges, and dough balls apparently! (We're so cultured.)

Dave and Katy came over for food and to watch the race, although I can't say I watched most of it - was too busy chatting. About half way through Katy decided she really needed some cake, so that's what we ended up doing. Top Gear birthday cake - yum!

My Current Obsession

Managed to pull myself away from the computer for a few hours this morning to go into town with my mum. Ended up buying a gorgeous coat and some shoe/boot things.

Then spent all afternoon playing Sims and trying to make them kiss. I'm such a complete loser!

Tickets Please

Me and Stu had cinema date night tonight, and it was my turn to pick a film - Night at the Musem 2 please! Had a big box of popcorn and a really nice night. Then came home and played Sims 3 till 2am. What a great start to the weekend!

Things I Love Thursday!

♥ You Are What You Eat - This is a little weird, but I love these strange photography projects!

♥ Meowing to songs - This is kind of hard to explain. It only works spontaneously and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life!

♥ Days off - I really don't mind my job, but I'm really looking forward to hopefully relaxing tomorrow and not doing anything too stressful! I'm willing to run round till 3am just to make sure I don't have to do many jobs tomorrow.

♥ Sims 3 - One of the things I'm looking forward to doing tomorrow!! I'm hoping it's as good as it looks. Yay for new computer games!!

♥ Romania - I know I've mentioned it a lot, but Romania was amazing! I promise I'll stop talking about it soon.

♥ Being Home - Even though Romania was great, there's something lovely about being in your own house, in your own bed, especially with your own little kitty :)

♥ Definitely Not Dinner and A Movie - I loved these ideas, very cute and fun, not just for a first date! I'm also desperate to go to something Medieval for some reason.

With a Little Sweet and Simple

Another long day at work, but my fantastic boyfriend treated me to a lovely tea! Steak and ale pie - lush. Then Hayley twisted my arm (it was so difficult!) into sharing a dessert with her. It was amazing, but I nearly made myself sick trying to eat it all!

I think the gym tomorrow is a necessity now. Oh, and ignore the bit a few posts down where I mention trying to eat healthily!

This is me trying to be a lot healthier! Although having looked at that I think there's far too much on my plate really. Must switch to a smaller plate.

Had a day off, but not really a day off - too much to do. Spent 7 hours working on web stuff, but I think it's finally finished now. Hopefully.

Back at work today, and had a lot to catch up on all day. Went to the gym with Chloe pretty much straight from work. She's housesitting for her mum, so we went back there to walk the dogs and watch a film (we watched Awake if anyone cares!).

This is her mum's beautiful kitty!! He's almost as cute as Lola.
