Yellow Lights Mean Slow Down

Went to see Wolverine tonight, and had a bit of a TGIs debacle too. I thought Wolverine was really good, but I don't know that much about X-Men other than from the films - from what I can gather it's not very Marvel accurate

Walked back through Nottingham and snapped this picture on the way to the car. Nice evening :)

Things I Love Thursday!

♥ Candy Pink Hair - New infatuation. Can I have this right now please? This has probably been brought about with the use of the next point, and my love of Gala at iCiNG. I only wish I didn't go swimming so much, and it wasn't going to constantly fade away!

♥ The Google image search by colour option - Is this new? I have had so much fun with this! And apart from that it's super practical for work.

♥ MAC make-up - Mineralize foundation, where have you been all my life?

♥ Aching after the gym - No-one in real life actually likes going to the gym, but I love the feeling you get when you come out - self righteous and self assured, you know you've just done your bit. Go home and eat a donut and enjoy feeling great!

♥ Looking forward to my birthday! - It's not for another 5 months, but just booked a room for a party. Not normally my sort of thing, but looking forward to just having all my family and friends together and hopefully getting along! And celebrating my life, obviously.

♥ Being really positive again

♥ Another Bank Holiday weekend - Yes please!

Worked 8.30 - 8.00 today, but still managed to keep a smile on my face! Everything just seems to be sunny and pink, and this tree about summed my mood up for the day :)

It's Ms. Ballerina To You

Okay, I know I said no more pictures of Lola, but she's cute right? And I forgot to take another picture today anyway. She's getting so big! And a little less scratchy/more cuddly. Maybe she will be a lap cat after all!

The Wizard

This is my memento from Scarborough on Friday! Lola is kind of infatuated with him for some reason and keeps knocking his orb off.

Work today, followed by aerobics and sausage and mash. Early night I think because I'm really tired for some reason. Busy weekend I think and I've just not had chance to wind down yet.

Made With Added Magic

Go Ape was amazing! Scary, difficult, and tiring, but a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I didn't get any pictures there just because it would have been to dangerous to take the camera - I could barely look after myself! Lots of scary jumps and long zip wires.

But I made these sparkly cupcakes for the birthday girl this morning. Had a lovely picnic sat outside on the grass and they seemed to go down well. All in all a very lovely, if slightly terrifying, day!

Oh Mickey You're So Fine!

Apologies for the rubbish photo quality, forgot to take my camera round to Katys and carried it all round Leeds without so much as touching it! Went into Leeds today to look at student accomodation for Peter, and hopefully picked 3 halls he can put down on his application form.

Then went round to Katy's for awesome chilli again and passed out on the sofa. Meant to take a photo when I got back but I was just dead to the world! Oh well, a picture's a picture right?

And it's a Mickey Mouse sweet incase you can't tell!

Swallowed in the Sea

Today both me and Stu took the day off and went to the seaside!! We ended up going to Scarborough, which I've never been to before, and had a really lovely day by the sea. We walked round souvenir shops, walked up to the castle and Anne Bronte's grave, sat on the beach and ate fish and chips, and just did all the traditional things to do.

Towards the end of the day we stopped off in Filey so Stu could throw his message in a bottle into the sea, then had a slow drive home and took a few little stops along the way, including Meadowhall so I could buy some new MAC. Definitely a good day!

This is my first ever go at a panoramic shot. Opinions? x

Food Face

Katy helped me cook bolognese for everyone this evening, and David for some reason decided that it tasted so good he wanted to smother his face in it. Then he posed for pictures. Beautiful!

Things I Love Thursday!

♥ 15 Coolest Bookshelves - I really want to persuade the library here to do the colour coded one, but I think it would probably confuse the students quite a lot.

♥ Sunshine and blue skies - Why hello there Mr. Sunshine - nice of you to make an appearance this year! Please don't disappear for a long time. Thanks :)

♥ Go Ape! - I'm going here this Sunday for my co-workers birthday, and I'm both scared and excited. It's an adventure course in the trees of Sherwood Forest, with zip wires and ropes and all sorts of scary things!

♥ The Beach! - Going to the beach tomorrow if the sun stays out and I'm so excited! Donuts and ice cream and sand and sandwiches and souvenir shops and fun time. Not sure which beach yet, maybe Scarborough?

♥ Katy's Chilli - Oh my gosh. How could I have gone my whole life thinking that I didn't like chilli? Katy - thank you for showing me the way forward!

♥ Possible random trips to Switzerland? - Exciting if it does happen!

Ok - this is going to have to count! I completely forgot to take a picture today. However I did set my camera up for someone else to take a picture with? This is me, for some college brochure / marketing thing.

Worked till 8, Katy cooked dinner for me and Stu! Then watched Twister which I was surprised by! Good evening, long day.

Just Hanging Around

I saw Lola do this for the first time yesterday, and got a few blurry photos thinking that she'd never do it again. Surprise surprise, this is her new favourite thing to do! I feel like I should be telling her off, but at the same time - it's so cute. She just sort of swings there and gazes at passers by. If anyone looks in they will think my cat is mental.

I am aware that Project 365 is quickly turning into Project - Pictures of my cat. I'm going to try and do more without her in now, but she's my muse! That's quite sad really isn't it...

Sunday Funday

Chinese Grand Prix today, and our turn to host the F1 party! Ended up having a BBQ outside on Hot Wheels plates, then coming inside for Chinese beer to keep with the theme of things. I don't drink beer so I mixed up a shandy for the purpose of taking part!

On the F1 front - slightly disappointing race. However I've now sort of developed a bit of an obsession with Vettel. Jensen Button - you just cannot compare with the German charm I'm afraid.

Then we went to Katy's for BBQ Round 2. The homemade burgers are getting a lot better. Next time - fatter and flatter.

It Could Be You

So I had a dream about the lottery a few nights ago, where I kept winning and losing my ticket on the way to claim. All the way through the dream a set of numbers kept being mentioned, so when I woke up I tried to remember them. By the time I got a pen and paper I could only remember 2 of them.

Both of the numbers came up. Moral of the story - keep a pen by the bed or regret it forever!

I'm A Little Teapot...

I'm sure Stu hates this, but it's one of the first few things I ever bought for the old house! It was completely ditched in the bottom of a 20p box at a carboot, so I took it home and cleaned it and gave it some love :).

Oh, and guess who wanted to be in the picture...!

Things I Love Thursday!

♥ Lost - I've never really lost (hahaha) my enthusiam for it, but I'm gripped at the moment. Mostly because I don't have a clue what's happening!

♥ Musical Glasses - If this is real, it's incredible!

♥ Fire - Stu's fire pit is the best thing in the world. We've had about 5 fires since Friday and I now have a fire outfit and everything - (more because I've burnt holes in some of my clothes than because I want a special outfit!)

♥ You Might Regret It - A local Podcast just started, definitely worth a listen.

♥ Feeling Better! - I've been ill and full of cold all week so I'm loving being able to breathe through my nose.

♥ BBQs - I suppose this should really be in with fire, but I think it deserves a seperate point on its own! I'm not talking about just sausages and burgers outside (although there's a time and a place for that!) - I'm talking about a well planned out BBQ, with homemade burgers, a nice pasta salad, and good people!

♥ Pretty Girls Make Graves - Speakers Push the Air - My song for this week. I'd been trying to think of something all week, but this came on in the car today and reminded me how much I love this album!

♥ Bat for Lashes - They have made the list for 2 weeks running because it was a just a really lovely gig. I've put this in to kind of thank Birmingham for it too! The venue was really lovely and looked like a lot of money had been spent on it, and I think it's really easy for councils to sort of ignore the arts at this sort of time.

♥ What Would You Play? - I'm kind of leaning towards giving a well rounded musical education. A little Nirvana, followed by a little Bach. A little Refused, followed by a little Britney.

♥ Project 365 - The fact that I am 107 days (nearly 30%) of the way through and I have only missed one day! I sort of go in waves with 365 - sometimes I hate it and feel like no-one even looks so why bother . But sometimes (today!) I feel like it's a really fun project and who even cares if no-one looks - how cool will it be to look back on in 5 / 10 / 50 years time!

A bit of a long TILT this week - I thought I didn't have anything to post so rounded a ton of stuff up in a mad panic and now I've realised I love too many things! x

A Healthy Dinner

I was trying to clear the freezer out of half empty bags, and I came up with this lush combo! Incase you can't tell - crinkle chips, thick chips, sausage rolls, pizza fingers and chicken nuggets. Very nutritous I'm sure.

Bat For Lashes

I was so impressed. I saw them last time about 2 years ago and she was good then, but even better this time. Her voice is just incredible and the people with her were all so talented! Birmingham was lovely too, and we ate dinner in a pub called The Shakespeare - very appropriate considering the company I was with!

Sonic

I made Stu a hedgehog cake because he specifically requested it. I have more pictures of it but it was definitely a work of art!

Gave Stu his presents at 12.30 last night/this morning and I think he liked them! Well I hope so anyway. Picked him up from work and went to his mums, then had his dad over for Pizza Hut and hedgehog cake. Num num num :)

Sack Boy

I bought this for Stu in London last weekend - and I didn't realise until nearlly too late that I hadn't taken a picture today! Didn't do anything exciting today - cleaned computers at work then went to aerobics at the gym. I don't quite understand how I was worse at aerobics this week than I was last week!

Family Tree

Had a lovely day today - shopping with a friend, then watched the Grand National at my aunties. Took the opportunity to snap some relaxed pictures of my family as the few group ones we have are very posed! Got a few gorgeous shots, especially some cute ones of my cousins new little boy.

Things I Love Thursday!

♥ Grand Prix Parties! - I have an obsession with themes, and I loved this! I would give every day a theme if I could.

♥ Reading Festival tickets - It seems like forever away now, but we're definitely going. Now I just have to wait for more bands to be announced! So far I'm excited about Placebo, Brand New, Fall Out Boy and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We have also completely wussed out and booked a hotel. Showers and proper sleeps should be amazing!

♥ Kill Bill Parts 1 & 2, in One Minute, in One Take

♥ My shiny new NetBug! - Stu completely surprised me by buying me a little 10" Compaq netbook and it is so cute! I love it to pieces, although I'm not quite sure what to do with it yet. I love how it fits in my normal handbags, but also how functional it is. We also set up my phone as a 3G modem last night so I'm super excited about blogging from various locations. (Although that probably only means the sofa, and maybe bed!)

♥ Portrait Pizza - I completely fell for this.

♥ Aerobics - I went to my first aerobics class on Monday, and although it completely ruined me, I really enjoyed it! So I'm hoping that this could be a recurring thing. They've also changed the class next week from 1hr to 45mins which should make it a little more manageable!

♥ Kitty Shoes - I love mine so much, but then I found out they come in other colours too! Canhaz1000pairs?

♥Daylight Saving Time - Even though I don't understand it, I loved finishing work at 8 last night and it still being light outside. We've already had the first BBQ, and I'm sure we're going to have hundreds more!

♥ LotR Cakes - I'm so obsessed with the Minas Tirith cake at the end. And Cake Wrecks is a great Blog anyway.

♥ Camden - I know I mentioned this in another post but I can't wait to go here again, with about ten thousand pounds! I want to go just before my birthday or Christmas or something next time. And I will have another coconut and chocolate waffle.

♥ My NetBug, again! - On the list twice because I can't get over how cute it is! I let out a little squeal every time I pick it up!
