C'est Moi!

I got my netbug! And in the excitement, I completely forgot to take any pictures of it, only pictures with it! Oh dear.

This is what happens when you leave me alone with my reflection. I wasn't sat on my own in the house, but neither of the boys wanted to play webcam with me. They were to busy baking japflack!

Kitten Heel

So these are the purchases from Camden at the weekend. The best things I have ever spent money on. They even have little tails at the back! I am going to wear them every day from now until forever.

We were walking round Camden, looking at cowboy boots (obv.), and I just said to Katy that I'd really like some shoes with cats on. Literally the next shop we went in had these bad boys just sat outside. I tried the same thing later wishing for cat ears but it didn't quite work!

Happy Pitday!

Grand Prix day. I have never really enjoyed a race at all before, but I loved the whole thing!

It may have been down to the great company, it may have been all the trouble Emma and Rachel went to theming their living room, or it may have just been because it was a good race! As usual, I've come up with little back stories for everyone in my head, involving bitching and debauchery, and pit crews tripping each other up at every opportunity.

Unfortunately, the end of the race signalled the end of our time in London. We had a long drive home, listening to Katy DJ songs from the 90's and stopping for BK Cheesecake.

Camden Town

Oh my God! How can I never have been to this place before?!

I took the tube on my own to meet Katy in Camden and we had the day shopping. Honestly, I could have stayed there forever. We bought tons of exciting things, the best sweets in the world, had a gorgeous lunch (apple and pork sausages and mash - yum!), and I bought my favourite purchase ever. Pictures to come.

I also ate the best tasting thing of my life - a chocolate and coconut waffle. I never wanted it to end! I ate it on the tube back from Camden and everytime we pulled into a station I nearly got it all over my face. Well, I kind of got it all over my face anyway really.

Camden was like a magical maze to me - filled with sparkles and cats and jewellery and strange nooks! I cannot wait to go back there!

The Magic Faraway Tree

So today was our drive down to lovely London! I have no idea how long it took, but over half our time was spent stuck in London, with the large majority of that stuck on Maida Vale.

Still, we arrived at about 8.30 so plenty of time to go out. We took the tube to Leicester Square and I snapped a few pictures while trying to keep up with everyone else. I loved the feel of the lights strung up in the trees, it just looked like a touch of magic among the hustle and bustle.

We ended up in the Sports Cafe in the middle of some college basketball game, where everyone was wearing orange and I had no idea when to cheer and when to look sad!

Things I Love Thursday!

Natalie Dee - Favourite. Webcomic. Ever.

The Mickey Mouse Magic Show (and Stu for putting up with it for me!) - It was a magical time! I also recieved my first ever marriage proprosal, from a boy who named his snow leopard after me. Aww!

Regina Spektor and Ben Folds - You Don't Know Me - Stu played me this song a few weeks ago and I just keep singing it round work, and humming it while swimming! I kind of decided that want to keep adding songs to my TILT so I guess this is the first one of hopefully many...?

London - I keep forgetting that I'm driving to London tomorrow with 4 other people. I've never really been there properly so I'm hoping we get chance to see some exciting things.

BingoBingoBingo! - Free bingo tonight. This can only be a winning situation! If I don't win tonight me and bingo may fall out for a while. I must remember my dobber.

The iCiNG list of 100 Things To Do When You're Upset (The Sad Trombone List) - I don't care if I'm not actually upset, I want to do pretty much everything on this list anyway.

Possible festival plans - That may turn into definite plans come Monday. I keep getting really excited about this! Sitting outside in the sunshine, listening to great bands, eating giant yorkshire puddings, huge tents for 2 people...

Here's My Resignation - My tasty tasty resignation.

Gym - My new gym membership at a super lush gym where I don't get "admired" in the shower by strange guys. It also has cheerleading classes that I really cannot wait to partake in! I'll be backflipping before you know it.

The A-Z of Inspiration & Motivation! - Positive thinking for work and life.

What a Girl Wants

This quote just made me smile today! But screw the good looks, can I just have the cash now?

Pleased to Meet You

Disney last night was lovely, although I was quite sad they didn't pick me out of the audience to be a magical helper! We were pretty much the only people there without kids though, as expected.

A long day today - I taught this morning, and was at work till 8, then went for a swim and got home at 9. Stu bought Pizza Hut which completely undid all my hard work at the gym!

When teaching this morning I had to use the phrase - "Paul and Timothy, could you please stop spooning?". That was... unexpected!

Cuddled up on the sofa with Lola who would not stop being crazy cat. Hence the picture of said crazy cat. <3

To the Rescue

Got a few calls on the first aid radio today, which made my day fly by, but also left me very tired. Had to call a paramedic for one which was my first time doing that.

Mickey Magic in Nottingham tonight! Oh my gosh I'm so excited!! I hope we have a magical time.

Disgruntled Crocodile

I see faces absolutely everywhere. And not just people's faces, but particular animals faces. Obviously, in this case, one of a slightly perturbed or annoyed crocodile.

Is this normal? Does anyone else see it?!

22-03-2009

Mother's Day

Had my family over for sunday lunch and homemade cheesecake! Got these pressies for my mum. I think I may have to go back for another one of the rusty cats...

Caged and Confused

So Bean escaped today. Twice!

First thing this morning we discovered that he'd managed to scratch through the plastic in his cage, and then through our temporary fix of it. I was so terrified that the cat would have found him first, so she was put upstairs while we rooted around in the dining room.

My worst fears were confirmed when we saw what looked to be entrails on the floor. I started crying and just couldn't believe what had happened. How could I be such a rubbish pet mummy?

Then, through my tears, I started laughing. Stuart looked at me a little gone out, till he also realised what I had suddenly found so amusing - we were looking at was a chocolate eclair that the cat had previously attacked. Messy - yes. Brains - no.

Stu found and and we contained him, then Stuey bought him new bits for his cage!

However, when we were putting it together, we missed a bit and he then escaped again! Stu caught him and he now has an amazing hamster mansion.

Through the Looking Glasses

Went out for dinner to Frankie and Benny's and had some lovely steak. They sang Happy Birthday about ten million times, and by the last time I'd just lost my enthusiasm for birthdays in general.

I noticed, I'm always the only person who wants desert. Am I destined to always eat the best course, or not at all?

Oh yeah, the picture! This is Stuart wearing my glasses.

19-03-2009

Laptop Love

Completely forgot to take a picture till I got to bed. I keep nearly failing 365 again!

Things I Love Thursday!

Ok I have completely stolen this idea off of one of my favourite lady bloggers - Gala Darling at iCiNG, but I just love this idea! So here is my first Things I love Thursday!

Knocked Up - I watched this film for the second time this week and thought it was super sweet. AND I didn't even cry this time! It really cheered up a crappy day off work.

Joshua Hoffine's "Childhood Fears" Photography - Creepy but amazing.

Trident Splash Strawberry-Lime Chewing Gum - How did I live my life without you? I am completely and utterly head over heels with it. And I don't even like chewing gum. (Has anyone tried the Vanilla and Mint?)

Mickey's Magic Show - I'm going here on Tuesday and I am so excited!

Scanwiches! - Exactly what it says on the tin.

The Ever Growing Days - I cannot wait for the Summer. Leaving work and the sun still being high in the sky just makes me so much more productive!

London Town - Looking forward to next weekend - picnics in the car, wandering round (getting lost? maybe!), Grand Prix, lovely people, lots of giggles.

Ask Nicole - A shiny new blog to add to my Google Reader.

Good Things Happening to Good People - I had some great news last Sunday and it's just kept me smiling all week! Hopefully this is the start of lots of good things to come.

So, what's everyone else loving this Thursday? x

Sssshoe Ssssnake

This is just the beginning of our shoe puppet theatre, mark my words!

17-03-2009

Red or Dead

These glass bottles were something like 20p each from a carboot sale, before we moved into this house. I only bought them because I thought they might be magic.

16-03-2009

Mirror Mirror...

Been feeling awful all day, so didn't really feel up to taking many pictures! This made me realise that the bathroom mirror needs a good clean.

15-03-2009

Candyfloss Pink

Baked these cupcakes to take to my mums for Sunday lunch. They were/are delicious, and baked a ton extra to take into work tomorrow as a late Birthday present!

I think I might quit my job soon and just bake cupcakes all day everyday.

14-03-2009

Garden State

Stu started digging the vegetable patch today while I baked cupcakes and tidied the house. How very atypical gender role of us!

I think we're having onions, beans, potatoes, ginger, and maybe sweetcorn. And whatever else we get for free! Numnumnum.

13-03-2009

Red Nose Day

If red's your favourite colour, and someone says you have to wear red, this can lead to a bit of a dilemma! I also just noticed there's a blurry cat in the background. Lola loves 365.

12-03-2009

Origami Jim

Stu made this when he still worked at WNC, so I still keep this little guy on my desk :)

11-03-2009

Ministry of Transport

My car passed it's MOT today. Hurrah! That means it only cost me £45 as opposed to whatever else. Although it would have failed if it wasn't for my awesome dad working on it at the weekend and getting it up to scratch.

Worked 8.30 - 8.00. Did some teaching this morning which went well, then worked on this GMail Workshop I'm preparing for Friday morning. Would quite like some sleepytimes!

10-03-2009

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Taking my car in for it's MOT tomorrow morning - hopefully everything will be ok! Walked back from the garage and took the long way home so I could walk through a park.

The light was beautiful, it just made everything look much more welcoming. Although walking back from the park I did get some stuff shouted at me by some kids - much less welcoming!

09-03-2009

Sleepytimes

Does anyone want to take a wild guess as to who forgot about Project 365? Until they were asleep, and woke up in a mad panic moaning at Stu to switch the light on?

But, a pictures a picture! Crisis averted.

08-03-2009

The Path Less Travelled

I woke up this morning, completely surprised by the nice weather! We decided to go for a walk in the woods, but as soon as we got there it started raining.

I only managed to get Stuart to go because was looking for a branch for a bow (I know... try telling him he's not Robin Hood!)

We managed about 20 minutes then came home before we got completely soaked. Next mission: Clumber Park.

07-03-2009

White Post Farm

We went out for dinner for my co-workers 60th. BOGOF steak and peppercorn sauce - yes please!

06-03-2009

CILIP Bang!

More work photos because I forget to take them at home. 2 of the people I work with recieved CILIP certification today, not that it really means anything to most people but they worked really hard!

The photo was named by Stuart because I'm finding it really hard coming up with names every day. I might make him my new photo namer!

Went to the JJB gym to look round straight from work and it was beautiful. I am so so desperate to go there! Does anyone else in the Mansfield area go there?

05-03-2009

World Book Day

To be honest, I'd completely forgotten to take a picture today. Then looked at my camera and realised I'd taken this one for work. So yeah, World Book Day FTW!

(I didn't even make this display - I took this for the LRC Blog!)

04-03-2009

Starlight Starbright

Had a very boring day. Work 8.30 - 8.00, then came home to watch Girls of the Playboy Mansion and binge on pasta. Stuart was out so I went to bed with just the little one for company, and she kept biting my face! I'm such a girl, so went to bed with these lights on.

03-03-2009

Hello Hippo

How cute is this! Paula, who started work here last week, brought it in for me :). Apparently it's out a coin mech machine thing. I have to find one of these ASAP.

02-03-2009

Lucky Rats

I saw these in town on Saturday, and thought of my friend Kate. She has the cutest little rats in the world.

I also didn't realise till I uploaded this picture that one of them has a heart on his/her face, aww! (Not the real ones. As far as I'm aware, they don't have any cute heart defects!)

I couldn't take this picture on Satuday as I didn't get to see her till last night. I also found out she reads this, which makes me wonder how many other people I know do... (Hi Kate!)

01-03-2009

Little Magic Glasses

Had a strange day today! Ended up going to Nottingham to stand still for 5 minutes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu1n1lXQUBs&fm t=18!

Went for a drink with Stu's work friends and had a tiny H&M trip. It felt like summer for the first time this year - driving with pop-punk and aviators with the windows down and no real reason to drive anywhere :)

Cooked a Sunday dinner for Stu and David - I'm really getting better at that! Cooked fudge which might be a completely disaster, then watched Harry Hill's TV Burp as part of tradition.

Realised I'd completely forgotten to take a picture, so here are my new glasses! Everyone has bright turquoise glasses right?
