Cupcake Kisses

I baked these for a girly party tomorrow night, and they are SO good. It's my first time making butter icing and it was lovely. Although I'm on a diet and kept licking the icing off my fingers. Oh dear!

Force Field Friends

I normally try and keep the two little ones apart, but Lola managed to push the door open and come through while I was cleaning Bean out. To be honest, she seemed more scared than anything else! And Bean kept running towards her and round her having a sniff.

It went better than I expected, but I don't quite expect these two to become best of friends!

Freak Dog is Frickin' Awesome on Guitar!

I love animals, and I feel awful about this, but it's kinda funny right? Or am I going to hell?

The Mist

Had a good 90 minutes at the gym, and went straight from there to pick Stu up from the train station. The mist seemed to have descended when I was there, and it was incredibly thick and difficult to see. I took a photo when stuck at traffic lights, but it doesn't do the mist justice at all.

It got worse when we got home, but we just kept a lookout for tentacles.

Billy G is Not My Lover

So I mentioned when I posted the chopped up picture of Billy G that there would be more to follow. Ta-da!

This took forever to prepare and was very frustrating to put up. I got it nearly all up a few times, before realising it didn't all fit! I feel like I should probably mention that Richard Stallman is on the display at Stus insistance, as no one seems to have a clue who he is.

Year of the Ox

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone!

I'm working 8.30 - 8.00 (again) but someone I work with brought me a fortune cookie up from the diner. I'm normally a little scared to open them incase they predict some terrible tragedy - I'm very easily influenced, and likely to change my plans! However today's was lovely, and pretty apt in relation to a lot of things going on at the moment.

Lola Cupcakes

I know that I've already taken her picture a few times this month. But she was lying on the floor practically begging to have her photo taken! She looks less and less like a kitten lately. Stu bought her the toy a few weeks ago and she completely loves it. I have to shake it to get her down from the chimney!

Trauma Centre

So I swapped a faulty game for Trauma Centre: New Blood. This game is amazing! But I keep killing people.

We ended up having to set two TV's up in the front room as we can never agree on something to play. I think this means we've reached new heights of geekdom!

My Little Baked Bean

This is my other little one, Bean. He's pretty much exactly one year old - what a cutie! His hobbies are: waking me up scratching; eating hamster chocolate drops; running into things in his ball; and sitting in my pocket.

Maneki Neku

I've decided to take a few pictures of some of my favourite things around the house. This is my Maneki Neko. I bought this just before we moved into this house. You put it near to the front door, and it should bring you good luck! And the fact it's holding a coin should bring us good fortune and health :)

I think Stuart thinks it's silly, but I love it. And we've had good luck so far so it can't be bad!

No Comment

So today we went to see My Bloody Valentine 3D, and I was pleasantly surprised. Really good/gory/funny. I had my first ever experience screaming absolutely packed, and it was so incredibly surreal seeing everyone dodge left or right to try and avoid being hit by a pick axe! Plus you got to keep the glasses. Score.

Then on the way back to the car I saw this lovely sticker in the car park. I have no idea whether he/she put this on their own car, or whether it was vandalism. Both ideas conjure up amusing circumstances for me. Maybe not so much for them...

Can You Tell What It Is Yet?

Worked 8.30 - 8.00 again today, but felt a little creative so started on a new display. Working on famous people in Computer Science! After deciding I want a massive picture of good old William's face, I haven't got much space! So I'm including Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Alan Turing, Charles Babbage, Grace Hopper and Richard Stallman.

More pictures to come I'm almost certain. You'll be pleased to know he is now stuck together.

Somewhere...

I've had a rubbish day today. I'm working 8.30 - 8.00, and the same again tomorrow, and I barely slept last night.

I'd already got it in my head that I was going to try and take the most miserable picture in the world, to sum up my sombre mood today (apparently the most depressing day of the year).

I had to run an errand at lunch, and as I sat at some traffic lights in the pouring rain, brewing away to myself, the clouds parted and I saw a perfect rainbow! I tried to snap some decent pictures but it was a little too far away, so I only caught a piece of it. But it certainly made me smile, if only for a minute.

Wobbly Man

Went to my parents for tea straight from school. Their house is full of strange things that seem to just appear places for no apparent reason! A haven for 365!

I had the idea of doing the YMCA with the wobbly man, but realised I'd done a 4 picture 365 only like two days ago, so just stook with this rather awkard pose.

Bolognese! See, I can spell…

I left my camera at work for the first time! So ended up using Stu's phone camera, hence the slightly crappy quality. Went to the gym for a couple of hours after work so this was my reward - tasty bolognese with a pile of cheese on top.

I also had my first Fanta of the new year. This doesn't sound like a huge achievement, but I can drink bottles and bottle of the stuff normally! It's had to be kicked because of the diet, and I miss the sweet sweet Fanta taste!

A "not so cute" Coryza

Today I've been full of cold, so all I've done is watch rubbish telivision, play computer games, and ruin my diet. And I get to work a 12hr day tomorrow - yay!

The Beechams cold stuff is expensive, and gross. It tastes like the worst shot you've ever done, mixed with the worst medicine you've ever tasted. And it's so damn expensive! Never again. The last face doesn't even touch on how bad it is.

Working at the Car Wash

It was ridiculously cold today and my car is ditched from driving to and from Cornwall, so we went to the car wash. This is only my second time in an automated car wash, and I still think it's pretty scary to be honest! I keep thinking I'm rolling forwards and we're gonna smash into the barrier.

Saturday Night Live

So this is how I'm spending my Saturday night! I went out today shopping with my mum and bought quite a few things, went to my grans, then had all my hair chopped off again. I saw loads more interesting things, but I left the SD Card in the computer. Oh well! This is how I'm gonna spend the rest of my night :)

The Man Behind the Mask

I went straight to my parents for work for tea, and decided they had tons of interesting stuff to 365. After struggling for a while for something to take a photo of, Peter came to the rescue with this!

I made the mask when I was 11 at High Oakham School. The inside is entirely covered in metallic paint because I got a little carried away when my favourite art teacher bought some. It did look kind of cool, but I put too much of the paint on my palette and decided to cover the entire thing in dots to use the shiny colours up.

I think that's blood dripping from it's (his/hers?!) mouth, which is kind of creepy. I must have been a strange 11 year old.

The First Supper

After having Katy over on Sunday for dinner, we were invited there for tea. Sounds like a fair trade to me! I ruined the diet by stuffing my FAT FACE with awesome treats dipped in the chocolate fondue set, and far too much cheese on my pasta. But, I did go to the gym before. Unfortunately, not for 6 hours!

Then we rocked out on Singstar, and Team Blue beat everyone far too many times. I particularly enjoyed Stu's rendition of "I'm A Bitch".

Plans of Maps and Maps of Plans

I’ve been working on this crappy job all week so far. It was meant to be done today but I got it extended to the end of the week. I have to transfer all the data on these plans onto a spreadsheet and it’s so tedious but I have to give it my full attention. Urgh!

Workin’ 9 To 5

Well, actually I worked 8.30 – 8 today. We've still not got a replacement staff member for Stu (or even advertised the post...) and his late night still needs covering. So, I didn't really get much chance to get out and about and take pictures of anything exciting!

This is the main room in which I work, and that's just one side of the room. There are about 70 computers in here, and I look after another two rooms with 20 computers in each.

I cooked Sunday dinner for a few of us today, and we bet David £1.50 that he wouldn't drink the cold, congealed, skinned jug of gravy on the table.

Christmas in a Box

I took the tree down today, and all the cards and decorations. It's so sad looking at it all packaged up, knowing full well you won't see it again for another 11 1/2 months! I love Christmas, and debated leaving the tree up all year round. Then I realised that it would make me look a little bit mental.

294 Miles Isn’t So Far Away

So I drove back from Cornwall on my own today. I think I _might_ just prefer driving on my own! I could stop when I wanted to, listen to whatever I wanted, and go the way I wanted to go! Had a really nice drive back - the roads were pretty much empty with it being New Years Day. It took about 5 hours, with a bit of a stop for some BK.
